Rasin Cake


7 Servings

Soft Sponge Cake


  • 4oz of Margarine
  • 4oz of Casting Sugar
  • 4oz of Self Raising Flour
  • 2 Eggs
  • Vanilla Extract
  • Pinch of Salt

Optional Extras

  • Mangerine Orange
  • Desiccated Cocoanut
  • Cocoa Powder
  • Jam and Cream
  • Custard
  • Marzipan & Icing Sugar


  • Whisk
  • 2 Mixing Bowls
  • Circle Silicone or Cake Baking Tray
  • Wooden Spoon

Put Butter and Sugar into Mixing Bowl and use a Wooden Spoon to beat until smooth and creamy.
Whisk the Eggs in a seperate Mixing Bowl.
Add small amounts of Self Raising Flour and Whisked Eggs while stirring with a Wooden Spoon, keeping the texture of the mixture.
Add a spoon of Vanilla Extract and a little bit of Salt.
Rub Butter inside of the Baking Tray and Siv some Self Raising Flour covering the Butter so the cake does not stick.
Pour the cake mixture into the Baking Tray and place it into the oven at 190c for around 25-30 minutes.

  • 3 Eggs
  • Milk
  • Plain Flour
  • Butter

Optional Extras

  • Lemon and Sugar
  • Syrup


  • Frying Pan & Spatula
  • Whisk
  • Mixing Bowl

Add the Eggs, Milk and Plain Flour to a Mixing Bowl and whisk together.
Heat a Frying Pan and melt some Butter.
Add the pancake mixture to the Frying Pan and cook on both sides.
